Solution

The Child Labour Act as passed by the government states the following: 'Putting a ban on the employment of children below 14 years of age in occupations that are hazardous to their lives and health. This act was mainly implemented to regulate the conditions of work for children in certain other employment. This Act sated that no child will be allowed to work for more than three hours a day. There should not be any provision for overtime and must be given a holiday in a week.'

It was passed to improve the conditions of children and make the refrain from resorting to employing child below 14 years to work. This was an humanitarian act on part of the government.
