a. Rich peasants the Patidars of Gujarat and the Jats of Uttar Pradesh – were active participants in the civil disobedience movement.
b. They played an active role in organising their community members.
c. For them the fight for swaraj was a struggle against high revenues
d.
Rich peasants however, were disappointed, as movement was called off in 1931 without any revision of revenue rates.
e. Thus, they showed a lukewarm response when the civil disobedience movement was re launched in 1932
