Question

Why do bulbs have two terminals?

Open in App
Solution

The bulbs have two terminals because a circuit can be completed only when there are both the positive terminal as well as negative terminal, as the current flow is allowed only when the circuit is complete and current flows from positive to negative terminal of a cell in a circuit. In order to connect the bulb in a closed or a complete circuit arrangement, the bulb has two terminals.
