Question

Why do clothes take longer time to dry on a rainy day?

Open in App
Solution

Wet clothes dry up when water evaporates from them. On a rainy day, the relative humidity (moisture content in air) is high; so, air cannot take in more moisture from the wet clothes. Hence, it takes longer for the clothes to dry on a rainy day.
