Question

Why do fungi spread fast?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Fungi can reproduce both asexually and sexually. They reproduce asexually by producing spores, budding, fragmentation.Asexual reproduction results in new colonies faster than any other mode.
Fragments of hyphae produce many new colonies at a time, similarly when they reproduce by spores, numerous spores are produced at a time that results in faster production of new colonies and offsprings.

Regards.
