Why do gases fill the containers completely in which placed?

  1. Intermolecular space is the space between two molecule or atom.
  2. In gas, the intermolecular space between molecules is quite large. So, the particles of gas constantly move with high kinetic energy & hence they occupy all the space in the container in which they are placed.
