Insecticides are chemicals that are used to control insects by killing them or by preventing them from engaging in undesirable or destructive behaviours.
Insecticides are pesticides that are formulated to kill, harm, repel or mitigate one or more species of insect.
Some insecticides work by disrupting the nervous system, whereas others may damage their exoskeletons, repel them or control them by some other means.
They can also be packaged in various forms including sprays, dust, gels, and baits.
Because of these factors, each insecticide can pose a different level of risk to non-target insects, people, pets, and the environment.
Insecticides are produced those impact target animals and not non-target animals (humans).
They are applied in lower doses so that it affects insects (target animals) only.
However, traces of insecticides still manage to enter the food chain, get accumulated, and ultimately affect.
Humans can be affected by toxic insecticides which are dangerous for humans also.
