Question

Why do kabaddi players apply coarse powder or dry soil on their hands before starting a game?

Open in App
Solution

Kabaddi players due to sweat and moisture on their hands; are not able to grip other players properly. It is because moisture or sweat on hands acts as lubricants and decreases the friction. So, they apply coarse powder or dry soil, which absorbs moisture and sweat on their hands and makes them dry. Thus kabaddi players use coarse powder or dry soil to increase the friction for better gripping.
