Question

Why do our organs become weak when we become older

Open in App
Solution

This isn’t exclusive to humans. Every living organism becomes weak as it ages.

The idea is that when we are young, we have a healthy cell production rate, fairly good functioning organs, better and more consistent circuits in the brain, etc.

But as we progress in age, all this takes a turn. We have an increase in the cell death rate, our organs are worn out and used, and the circuits in our brain become weaker and feebler, causing problems like diabetes (not enough insulin) and Alzheimer’s disease (memory circuits weakened/faded away).
