The reasons are:
A body absorbs, reflects, and radiates heat based on its colour and the material from which it is made.
The shiner the surface the more the reflection and the rougher the surface, more the absorption.
Similarly, the lighter the colour, more the reflection and the darker the colour, more the absorption
To avoid feeling hot and sweaty during the summer people wear light clothes, which will reflect radiant heat from the sun, and to avoid feeling cold during winter they wear dark clothes in winter which will absorb the radiant heat from the sun.
Hence, we wear light coloured clothes during summer and dark clothes during winter.
