Why do plants need potassium and magnesium ?

Plants have required some elements for their normal physiological process of the body. These are called essential elements.
Potassium and Magnesium are also the essential elements for the plants,
(i) Potassium: it maintains the cell turgidity, it must be present photosynthesis and respiration enzyme to work, potassium also control to opening and closing of stomata. These deficiency symptoms are seen in plants to lack of potassium poor flower and fruit, growth discoloured leaves.
(ii) Magnesium: Plant needs magnesium because it is helpful in photosynthesis because without Mg chlorophyll cannot absorb the solar energy, actually, magnesium is central atom of chlorophyll, Plant's leaves colour are the red cause of magnesium, it can also help in the metabolism of carbohydrate.
