The wet soil means soil containing water. The seed needs some special conditions like water, temperature, light, oxygen to germinate. Once these conditions are provided, the first step in the process of seed germination starts i.e the absorption of the water from wet soil. This activates an enzymes in the seed which increase rate of respiration and other metabolic reaction and cells of the embryo start dividing. Soon the embryo becomes too large, the seed coat bursts open and the growing plant emerges. First the root emerges from the radicle of the embryo and it anchors the seed in place, and allow the embryo to absorb water and nutrients from the surrounding soil. After that shoot starts growing from plumule and the new plant is produced.
