Why do shark eggs look like that?

Solution

Shark eggs:

  1. Sharks are cartilaginous fishes that exist in the seas.
  2. They undergo internal fertilization where the male shark inserts his sex organ, clasper into the female shark's opening, cloaca.
  3. It then proceeds to release sperm and fertilize the eggs.
  4. Some shark species allow the egg to develop inside the mother's body while they are hatched outside.
  5. The shark eggs have spiral ridges on their outer layer which helps them grip better to rock crevices.
  6. The mother shark screws the egg into rock crevices and nook which prevents the eggs from getting washed away by waves.
  7. It also protects in from predator attacks.
