Why do some salts like cuso4 have water of crystallization where some salts like nacl do not have?

Solution

Dear Student, When crystals of some salts are formed, they incorporate water molecules into their crystalline structure. This water is necessary to balance the crystalline structure as well as the appearance (colour) of the crystal but can easily be detached upon heating. Water of crystallization is stabilized by electrostatic force of attractions, as a result hydrates are common for those salts that contain +2 and +3 cations as well as −2 anions. some salts like CuSO4. 5H2O have water of crystallization where some salts like NaCl do not have.
