Question

Why do the clouds turn dark before it rains? [2 MARKS]

Open in App
Solution

Clouds are made up of droplets of water. Normally clouds are thin and allow a large portion of the light to pass through them so they appear white. Rain clouds have large water drops which do not allow light to pass through them. This is the reason the clouds turn dark before it rains.
