Why do we classify the liquids as good conductors and poor conductors instead of conductors and insulators? Explain with an example. [3 MARKS]

A poor conductor can be made into a good conductor just by the addition of these substances .So it is clear that though poor conductors may not pass current adequately, but can be made into good conductor by altering the conductivity by the addition of acids, bases or salts.
But insulators consist of a material medium whose molecular configuration is such that it cannot be altered by the addition of these substances. Infact in these materials even the outermost electrons are so tightly bound that there is essentially zero electron flow through them . They simply do not conduct electricity.
So, the classification is confined to as Poor conductors and Good conductors.
