Question

Why do we have running noses when we have cold?

Open in App
Solution

During cold, we get runny nose (fluid in nose) because the mucous membranes which are present around the cavities in the nose start producing more mucus in combination with fluid from the moist tissue of the nose. This increased production of watery fluid during cold helps in fighting off the germs.
