Why do we have to observe EARTH HOUR on March ${19}^{th}$? What is your opinion on it?

Earth hour is usually observed on the last Sunday of the month March. This is the event that is observed every year, during an earth hour generally from 8:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m all the lights and eclectronic gadgets are switched off to show that we care for the planet earth. It is held to create awareness among the peoples regarding the side effects and harmful results of using these gadgets on the earth so that people will think about it and take certain steps towards the saving of the earth.
