Question

Why do we make the coefficient of x2 equals 1 while solving a quadratic equation by completing the square method?

Open in App
Solution

In this method we represent the quadratic equation as square.
And making the coefficient of x as 1 is for nothing but to make the representation much easier, and for making calculations faster.
Hope you know the standard form of representation.
Just follow those steps.
Good luck
