Question

Why do we need to go in same direction for uniform motion

Open in App
Solution

Uniform in front of motion means that no net force is acting on the body. A body with no net force acting on it moves at a constant velocity or motion(including zero). It turns out that constant or uniform motion means traveling at a constant speed in an unchanging direction. Motion is a vector, and vectors have two parts. One part is the speed, and the other part is the direction. If either part changes, the motion is not uniform.
