Question

Why do we say transistor transfers resistance

Open in App
Solution

Consider the case of Common Emitter Configuration, the input circuit is of low resistance while the output circuit is of high resistance .So, a signal applied at the low resistance input ckt will be transferred to the high resistance output ckt .In effect, this can be treated as the transfer of resistance.

In Common Collector , The signal is transferred from high res ckt to low res ckt .Here also transfer of res is said to happen.
