Question

Why do we use cooking utensils made up of copper?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Copper is used in cooking utensils because it allows heat to easily pass through the base to the contents.
  2. They are, however, equipped with handles made of poor conductors (such as ebonite or wood) to make it easier to hold them.
  3. Because handles do not conduct heat from the utensil to our hands.
