Solution

Dear Student,

In case of people with diabetes polydipsia i.e., excessive thirst and polyuria i.e., frequent urination are one of the common symptoms. When the kidney is unable to keep the pace of filtering and absorbing the excessive sugar in the patient's body either due to non-availability of enough insulin or the body's inefficiency to use it properly, the excess sugar gets excreted into the urine and as this happens it draws water from the tissues, leaving the person feeling dehydrated.
