Question

Why do you think areas with high annual rainfall and high population density will face water scarcity ?

Open in App
Solution

Areas with high annual rainfall and high population density may face water scarcity because the rate of use of water may be more than the natural rate of replenishment by rainfall. Due to high population, too much of groundwater may get used. It will not be possible for that groundwater reserve to get replenished by the natural rainfall.
