Cockroach has many sense organs including antennae, eyes, etc. The eyes in cockroaches are located at the dorsal surface of head which are termed as compound eyes. Every eye has almost 2000 hexagonal ommatidia with which they can receive multiple images of an object at once. This is called mosaic vision. Though this type of vision has higher sensitivity, the resolution is low.
