Why does a gas fizz when a soda water bottle is opened?

Solution

The amount of the gas dissolved is very high due to high pressure. On opening the bottle, the pressure tends to decrease to atmospheric pressure. So the solubility decrease i.e. the dissolved gas escapes out.
