Question

Why does a glass slip when you hold it with oily hand?

Open in App
Solution

When we hold something then the force of friction will work on the object ( here object is glass ) and our hand .
However, when we hold the glass with oily hand then it will slip out , because the oil is a lubricant material that reduces the rate of friction between the glass and hand .
