Question

Why does a rubber sucker get stick to a surface ????

Open in App
Solution

As the sucker sticks to the smooth surface the air in it goes outside and a partial vacuum is formed in it as the atmospheric pressure acts on it from the outside it is difficult to remove it after sticking to the smooth surface.

To remove the rubber sucker which is stuck to the smooth surface can be removed if we allow some air to get in to the sucker by any means like making a small hole etc.,
