Question

Why does air move from place to place?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Air moves due to the uneven heating of the Earth's surface by the energy from the Sun.
  2. Air can be hot or cold.
  3. Air in the hotter region expands and rises. This creates a low-pressure region.
  4. The air moves from a high-pressure region to low pressure region.

Hence, the difference in temperature and pressure makes the air move from one place to the other.
