Question

Why does ammonium chloride sublimate?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student, Ammonium chloride ie. NH4Cl is a sublimable solid ie. it directly changes into gaseous state from its solid state or vice versa. When it is solid its particles gain enough energy to convert into gases! this happens as the force of attraction btw the particles(cohesive force) is outforced. Regards
