Solution

Bad Conductors:

  1. Objects which do not allow to flow of heat through them are known as poor or bad conductors.
  2. Ex: Air, plastic, etc.

An icebox have double walls because:

  1. The box in which ice is kept is made from iron and two layers of walls are made to keep ice.
  2. Some space is given in between the walls.
  3. This space is filled with glass wool which is a bad conductor of heat.
  4. So, heat from outside does not reach the ice.
