(i)Smell strongly of chlorine.CaOCl2
since it has chloride as its constituent,it smells strongly of chlorine.
(ii)Not dissolve completely in water bleaching powder is actually soluble in water but the lime present is left behind as insoluble salt so it is called chloride of lime.
