  6. Progesterone is an endogenous steroid and progestogen sex chemical in relation to the monthly cycle, pregnancy, and embryogenesis of human beings.
  7. It is placed with a group of steroid chemicals called the progestogens and is the significant progestogen in the body.
  8. Progesterone has various significant capabilities in the body.
  9. During the follicular phase of the period cycle the secretion of estrogen peaks due to the developing follicles which release the hormone.
  10. Progesterone is produced during the later stages of the cycle from the degrading corpus luteum produced from the Graafian follicles.
