Question

Why does hnRNA undergo tailing and capping?

Open in App
Solution

hn RNA is a premature RNA.
The hnRNA is formed in the nucleous as a result of transcription . In eucariots it contains both expressing exons and the non expressing intrones . The hnRNA is caped with methyle guanosin tri phospate and taled with adinilite residue. The intrones are spliced and all these processes results in th formation of the mature RNA (mRNA).The mRNA seeps to the cytoplasm were the translation occures. The processes of caping taling and splicing occures so that the RNA is protected from Nucleases (an anzyme that cuts Nuclic acids ,genarally seen in the cytoplasm ).
