Question

Why does it mean for a material to have high resistivity and low temprature coefficient?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
We know only those material has high resistance ,which do not have free electrons
means electrons are closely bounded to lattice atom .There will be required a lot of energy
to dissociate them from lattice atom (core ). That is why they have low temperature coefficient .
means variation of resistivity with temperature is small .
