Why does milk appear white?

  1. If an object reflects the light of all colours and does not absorb light of any colour, then the object appears as white.
  2. When light is incident on the milk, the milk reflects all the light wavelength falling on it and does not absorb any wavelength of light. Hence, seen as white in colour.
