Why does only carbon exhibits the property of catenation?As some other elements are also tetravalent.

Dear student, Thats not the case. Apart from C, other group 14 elements such as Si and Ge also show catenation but the chain length is limited. Elements from other groups i.e. Sulfur, Phosphorus, Boron etc. also show catenation. The uniqueness of carbon lies in the fact that the chain length is very large. Regards
