Solution

Evaporation — The process of turning a liquid state of matter into a vapour state.

  • It occurs on the surface of a liquid as it changes into the vapour state.

Latent heat of vapourization- Latent heat of vaporization is the heat consumed or discharged when matter disintegrates, changing state from fluid to gas state at a consistent temperature.

  • Evaporation very fast when exposed to larger surfaces.
  • When we put some acetone, ethyl alcohol, petrol, or perfume on our pal, it evaporates.
  • During evaporation, particles of the liquid absorb energy from the surface of the palm, making the surroundings cool.
  • The acetone, petrol, or perfume takes this latent heat of vaporization from our palm, the palm loses heat and feels cold.
