Why does river ganga form meanders near ambala?

a. It basically represents its meandering stage whereby Ganga river as it enters a flat plain. where more sediment is dropped , it twist and turn and form bends.
b. This is primarily because of the relief feature and the distance between Ambala and Sunderbans which is about
1800 kilometres. The slope indeed here is very gentle.
