why does sound wave require more reflecting surface than light?

Dear Student,

light is a particle and can travel through vacuum wile sound require elastic medium . so sound is longitudinal wave and have much larger wavelength then light so each particle require same reflection if the reflection of particle are different then sound will disperse and become weak whereas light wavelength is very small.
