Question

why does the heart have tricuspid valve on roght side and bicuspid valve on left side

Open in App
Solution

Bicuspid valve also known as mitral valve present between the left auricle and left ventricle that allows the blood to flow from left auricle into the left ventricle. So it prevents the back flow of blood from left ventricle into the left auricle.
Tricuspid valve is located between the right auricle and right ventricle that allows movement of blood from right auricle into the right ventricle. Thus it prevents the backflow of blood from right ventricle into the right auricle.
