Solution
Latent heat
When we start supplying heat to any substance, its temperature will increase.
The temperature will not increase after supplying heat, this means the substance is changing its state.
During state change, the amount of heat energy is used to change the phase of the substance and this amount of supplied heat will be known as Latent Heat.
The latent heat is not responsible to make changes in the temperature of the substance.
