Question

Why does the Ray of light incident at pole of mirror reflects back making the same angle of reflection as made by incident ray with the normal?

Solution

1. When a ray of light strikes the surface of the mirror and gets reflected, a normal is drawn perpendicular to the reflecting surface that divides the angle made by incident ray and reflected ray into two equal halves.

2. The normal divides the angle into two equal angles, they are not actually equal.
