SA node:

  1. SA node is actually the sino-atrial node.
  2. It is a specialized bunch of neurons that generate a sequence of electrical signals which control the sequences of muscle contraction that pump blood out of the heart.
  3. Since, it maintains the rhythmicity of the heart, hence, it is known as the pacemaker of the heart.
