Question

Why does the sun appear red at sunrise and sunset ?

Solution

The amount by which a light of a particular wavelength scatters is inversely proportional to the fourth power of the wavelength.

Sun appears red at sunrise and sunset due to the least scattering of red light as it has the longest wavelength.
