Solution
Comets are made up of ice, dust, and rocky materials.
Comets revolve around the sun in a highly elongated orbit.
When a comet approaches the Sun, due to heat from the sun ice melts
Melting ice along with dust and other material sweeps into a long tail. Hence, the name “puchchal tara”
As the comet comes closer to the sun the solar winds from the sun exert pressure on the comet's head and force a part of it backward direction, pointing away from the sun.
That's why its tail always points away from the Sun.
