Solution
Wood as fuel :
Wood is a major source of renewable heat energy, and when burned properly, it emits almost no smoke.
It is cheap fuel as it does not require a lot of resources to obtain.
The wood used as a fuel affects our environment because :
Wood and charcoal are important cooking and heating fuels in developing countries. however, the rate at which wood is being cut needs to be controlled as it may lead to excessive deforestation.
Planting fuel-efficient trees and using fuel-efficient cooking stoves can help slow deforestation and improve the environment.
Compared to gaseous fuels it is less efficient so to provide the same amount of heat more wood would have to be burnt.
