Water conservation is important because we need water for many essential activities. About three-fourths of Earth consists of water, but only 1% of it is freshwater. It is this freshwater which we can utilise for daily use. As water resources are not judiciously used, these are getting depleted. This will lead to the time when there will be no water. If water conservation is carried out seriously, this will help to preserve wildlife water habitats and the need of building dams, etc. It will also help to ensure water availability for future generations.
