Double fertilization is considered as unique event in plant kingdom because in this, ovary develops into fruit and ovule develops into a seed having embryo and primary endosperm in it. During double fertilization, one male gamete fuses with the egg cell and forms diploid zygote. The another male gamete fuses with the 2 polar nuclei to form triploid endosperm. It is an important part for organisms with respect to evolution.
