why handles of screwdrivers are made up of plastic

Plastic is used as the handles of screwdrivers that electricians use as they are bad conductors of electricity so there is less chance of an electric shock . They are also used because they can be molded easier to give different grips patterns and holds.They are light weight to and have a better central balance.
